CBP Has Increased the Merchandise Processing Fee

November 6, 2011

The merchandise processing fee (MPF) collected by U.S. Customs and Border Protection has been increased from .21% to .3464% effective retroactively to October 1, 2011. CBP will be sending additional invoices for entries which have been filed between October 1, 2011 and November 5, 2011 which reflect an increase in MPF of more than $20.00. Our system has been updated to reflect the changes, but you may still receive additional invoices for those entries filed within that time period.

Please contact your JFM team member if you have any questions about this, or any other, matter.
